No analytics, no accounts, no tracking, and no network connections at all. Your recordings and projects are plain files on your own Mac, and they never leave it. This page exists to say exactly that, and to be specific about it.

OctoTrack Studio gathers no personal data, no usage data and no diagnostics. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and no third-party code of any kind inside the app. Nothing is linked to you, and nothing is used to track you across apps or websites.
The app makes no network connections. It has no server, no account system and no update channel of its own: updates arrive through the Mac App Store like any other app. Because nothing is sent anywhere, there is nothing for anyone to intercept, store or subpoena.
The microphone permission the app requests is used only to record audio from the input you choose, onto your own disk. Nothing is transmitted anywhere. That permission is what makes an 8-track recorder able to record; it does nothing else in this app.
Your takes are ordinary WAV files, and your projects are ordinary folders. They are stored under ~/Music/OctoTrack Studio/ on your Mac, where you can open them, copy them, back them up or delete them with the Finder, without the app's help and without asking anyone.
Separate from the app, and stated here so the two are not confused: wptrat.com measures its own traffic with Matomo, running on a server the maker owns rather than a third-party analytics service. It records ordinary page-visit information. No advertising networks, no cross-site trackers, and nothing that connects a visit here to anything you do inside OctoTrack Studio, because the app cannot reach the network and has nothing to report.
